Innovation + Application

INNOVATION: Opening new doors for architects and interior designers, decorative glass manufacturers are becoming increasingly bold as they strive to generate new products unlike any others.

APPLICATION: The Spheres, shown here in Multi-color, were applied in a swirling pattern on the glass walls of the Denver News Agency's lounge by Newman Cavender and Doane Architects.

Nathan Allan's Glass Spheres are a stylish finish that adds pop to any glass design. Part of the Josiah J Collection, the manufacturer has added to one side of clear or textured sheets of glass, creating a new definition of "pop". Spheres are produced in a clear, low-iron glass or in hues of green, bue, aqua blue, grey, gold, silver, bronze or the "multi" color option. They can be safety tempered and/or laminated.

Elevated Gallery

I.D. Studios made a unique design choice when it chose to make the walls of the RedMed facility in San Diego, Calif. Fusion Glass by Nathan Allan Glass Studios. The glass brings a light fresh look that endures. Using prismatic colors and sweeping shapes, a melting pot of liquid crystal is formed over vibrant colors to provide an elegant art form. The 1.75-in thickness provides a solid durable, long-lasting art form.

Taste The Rainbow

Nathan Allan Glass duotones add a striking dash of color to interiors. Combine any two lucent colors with any texture and the resulting duotone glass creates a unique work of art. Sheet sizes from 1 ft x 1ft to 5 ft. x 10 ft. come in thicknesses of ¼, 5/16, 3/8, ½ and 5/8 in. with a machine flat polished edge. The glass art is as easily maintained as a window with a bit of spray cleaner and paper towel. Duotone can also be specified to create a custom light fixture or sconce piece to liven up an interior setting or compliment an existing theme.

Aristocratic

Nathan Allan has developed two unique processes that allow the company to create highly decorative glass light covers, which perform as per the designer's intent. With an applied frosted coating, Cathedral Glass breaks up the hot spots from a lighting source that may create shadow lines or a very uneven glow and distributes the light more evenly over the glass surface. Even more effective, Crystal Series Glass diffuses the hot spots while highlighting the brilliant crystals on the back of the glass surface. Each specialty lighting glass product can be produced in large sheets in a tempered or tempered/laminated form.
