Lighting Design

Using glass as an effective lighting cover can be a difficult and frustrating experience. Hot spots from the lighting source may be evident, creating shadow lines and a very uneven glow. Frosting the glass will work to a minimum extent, but not provide the proper desired finish.

Nathan Allan has developed 2 unique processes, that allow us to create highly decorative glass light covers, which perform as per the designer’s intent. Cathedral Glass with an applied frosted coating, breaks up the hot spots and distributes the light more evenly over the glass surface. Even more effective, Crystal Series Glass diffuses the hot spots while highlighting the brilliant crystals on the back of the glass surface.

Each specialty lighting glass product can be produced in large sheets, in a tempered or tempered/laminated form.
