Metropolis at Metrotown

Elevated landings consist of 4 diameters, the largest at 12'0. Two layers of 1/2" cast tempered glass are incorporated, using our Linear texture on the #4 surface, with our exclusive Glass Sandpaper safety finish on the walking surface. Individual layers of glass are Resin laminated together. Resin provides extra strength in laminating, and is not affected by water or moisture. Resin is also not affected by the silicone compounds injected in the perimeter framework.

Glass panels are placed into an elevated modular steel grid framework that supports the glass, and allows for a lighting system to be placed underneath the glass panels. The panels are highlighted with four different color finishes. This project was "Engineered Job Specific."
