3 layers of 1/2" clear tempered glass with Glass Sandpaper on walking surface. Treads are attached through countersunk holes.

The original glass treads for this project were installed by another company. As the season changed to rain and snow, they were replaced with Nathan Allan's exclusive "Glass Sandpaper" treads. The new treads have maintained their effectiveness and safe qualities since being installed in 2004.
