Holiday Inn Northwater Thick Glass Countertop

THE GLASS

Nathan Allan created a custom glass texture for the Northwater Restaurant at the Holiday Inn, Bellingham. As a result, our newly designed Rivulet texture is an original. Consequently, patrons are memorized and captured by the intricate, formed glass details. The watery, flowing pattern is deeply cast within the large glass sections. In addition, the panels are shape cut to fit snugly inside the countertop frame. Likewise, the pattern flows from section to section, creating a continuous appearance.

Additional glass details are produced for the Waterwall and Registration desk areas. Our Deep Rain, curvaceous texture is used on the waterwall, to blend with the rugged rock wall. Likewise, our shapely Mirage texture is formed into the 3D Holiday Inn logo sign. At the same time, the sign is colored in corporate white and green color finishes.

Nathan Allan collaborated with interior designers Ragan and Martha Humphrey of Sue Nemo design. Thus a great partnership was formed. Furthermore, design ideas were initiated, such as authentic River Rock underneath the Thick Glass Countertop. As a result, the glass countertops take on a realistic and convincing appearance. However, functional at the same time.

SPECIFICATIONS

5 large glass panels were produced for our Holiday Inn Northwater Thick Glass Countertop. Likewise, 3/4″ (19mm) thick glass panels are required to form the deep Rivulet texture. All panels are cut into a soft curved shape and all glass edges are flat polished. In addition, each glass section is safety tempered.

INSTALLATION

M & H Contracting handled and installed our Thick Glass Countertop. At the same time, glass cushions are used underneath each glass section. Furthermore, a fine silicone bead fills the small gaps beside the glasstops and wood frames. In addition, our Deep Rain waterwall glass is pinned to the back wall with Stainless Steel caps.
