Silvered
An exclusive offering by Nathan Allan is our unique Silvered Back finish, which we can apply to almost all of our 175+ kiln formed designs. Shown here, we are displaying our Silvered Back finish on 12 of our Freeform Series Fluted glass designs. As our Freeform Designs are texture less, the silvered finish clearly shows through the glass and boldly enlightens the design, creating a special reflective surface.
Silver Backed glass panels are designed to be used in cladding applications, where the glass is pressed against another wall surface, and only viewed from the front. A protective coating is provided over top of the silver finish, which allows installers to adhere the panels to another wall surface. This does require a special compatible adhesive which Nathan Allan will provide.
Lucent
Lucent colors are available in 14 Transparent Color Finishes. Custom Colors are also available, but you will need to provide us with a color chip or color number, and we will create a new color to match your selection as close as possible. Lucent Color finishes can be applied to any of our unique glass products. The colors are bright and vibrant, and our glass textures will be highlighted by the color applications. Please note that Color finishes on glass will be slightly different in color tone, than a color which is applied to a paper chip. Color finishes are durable, but they do not absorb into a glass surface, such as wall paint will absorb into sheet rock. So at Nathan Allan, we use special procedures that help to increase the adhesion effect of the color finish, to provide a long lasting durable finish. Even with these procedures, we strongly advise that the color finish is handled with care.
Duotone
Duotone color finishes incorporate two of Nathan Allan’s Lucent colors, on the same panel of glass. While the two colors are distinctly different, there is also an intriguing blend of the two colors overlapping. The 4 color combo options we show, were selected because they form the most effective “Duotone” finish. Not all color combinations work, thus the selection of the 4 options on display
To enhance our Duotone Glass effect, colors are applied to our deepest textures. For the best selection of deep textures, view our Classic Textures, Directional Series. The 4 Duotone samples displayed here, use our Stratos texture, which is the best texture for our Duotone feature.
Pearl
Our newest color addition, Pearl colors create a unique color finish unlike any other finish Nathan Allan has produced. Shown here applied to our subterranean Granite texture, Pearl colors reach lofty depths within each texture, enhancing the 3D effect of our artistic glass creations. The soft Pearl finish within each color creates a vibrant, velvety, colorful visual.
An incredible feature of our Pearl colors is the binary capacity to appear translucent on one side (smooth side), while the other side appears fully opaque (textured side). Light will travel through one side and create a beautiful glow in the glass. At the same time, the other side of the glass remains opaque, creating privacy. Perfect for back lighting, front lighting, and edge lighting conditions. Ideal applications are dividers, partitions, walls, doors, and cladding. Pearl colors provide unlimited options for all interior design and architectural projects.
Privacy Finishes
Privacy Finishes are available in 3 options; Satin Sealed, Frosted and Opaque. Each privacy option has a different level of opacity, ranging from low to medium to high. Opacity options are typically used to increase the level of privacy in the glass, however at times, the finishes are also added to the glass to bring out the highlights in the 3-Dimensional glass surfaces. Privacy Finishes are mostly translucent, allowing for certain levels of light transmission. The opacity finishes help to create an effective light source blocker, where the hot spots of artificial light sources are diminished or blocked from view. An added feature occurs when the light source creates a warm white glow in our textured glass panels. A person or object which is placed closely behind a Privacy Finished glass panel, may be slightly visible. However, as the person or object moves further away from the Privacy finished panel, they begin to disappear. Privacy finishes can be added to all our Glass Textures and Patterns.

In the photos shown below, we are featuring our popular Cascade XL and Cathedral Grande textures, produced in low iron glass. The glass sample on the left side in each photo, does not have a Satin Sealed Frosted finish. The glass samples on the right side of each photo does have our Satin Sealed Frosted finish. As you can see, our Satin Sealed Frosted finish is very effective, and creates a high level of opacity. Plus, the key detail of our Satin Sealed finish is that this Frosted finish does not absorb or show fingerprints. This is a true low to no-maintenance Frosted Glass, a first in our industry, and exclusively available from Nathan Allan only…
