Make Your Space Work For You
Color Options. Color is at the base of all design. Color theory teaches designers in all fields, how to use this medium to their advantage. Clearly evident is the fact that color is a crucial component of design and creates an emotional response by the people who are viewing it.
Color is a form of non-verbal communication. It is not a static energy, and its meaning can change from one day to the next with any individual. It all depends on what energy they are expressing at that point in time.
Nathan Allan’s kiln formed glass artists, have designed and produced unique and exclusive handmade decorative glass for almost 30 years. Our glass is vivid, bold, and vibrates color. Learn more about our Color Options and how they can be applied to any of the 150+ architectural glass options which Nathan Allan has created.
Today, we are featuring our DUOTONE COLOR OPTIONS. Duotone is a combination of two vivid colors from our Lucent colors category. Duotone colors work best on our deepest textures, such as Stratos, shown here in our display photo. Other exceptional deep textures to consider are Mirage, Sandtide, Rivulet, Deep Rain and Willow.
Duotone is but one option from our color palette, which also includes Lucent, Gemstone, Metallic and Faux finish colors. At Nathan Allan, we use exclusive application procedures that help increase the adhesion effect of the color, to provide a long lasting durable finish. Custom colors can be produced in opaque finishes when PMS, SW, or BM color chips or numbers are provided.
Duotone colors are transparent, allowing ample light transmission into your space, while creating bright, vibrant displays. All panels are safety tempered, with maximum panel sizes up to 5’0 x 10’0. Applications include feature walls and partitions, door inserts, balustrades, and our 1.5” thick, Heavy Glasstops.
When you view our deeply textured, hand crafted Stratos Glass, with Red/Amber Duotone colors, think for a moment about how it makes you feel?
Did you know that Amber color produces warming effects, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy?
Red is also the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. Red is a very emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure.
The scientific evidence is interesting and thought provoking, but companies do use this knowledge of color to design their work spaces. And the evidence proves that the right colors do motivate persons in a positive way. If your workplace environment evokes energy, passion, desire and cheerfulness, and also stimulates your mental activity, I’d venture to guess that your productivity will be high up the charts.
