Echo Decorative Glass casts waves on the walls behind the panels, bringing the energy-replenishing presence of nature into the most sophisticated of modern or industrial spaces.
Nathan Allan’s Echo Glass panels illuminate one of the startling mysteries of physics – light’s dual nature as both particle and wave. Visible from all vantage points, Echo’s rippling undulations brilliantly capture, recast and reflect light. Just as sunlight moves through crystal-clear ocean or lake water, these stunning decorative panels create the impression of movement in stillness – and of stillness in movement.
Echo Decorative Glass. Our team customized molds to create a bold but organic pattern that – overcoming the usual restraints of kiln fusion – continues seamlessly from panel to panel. By using “sacrificial glass” that absorbs the mold’s texture before being removed and recycled, we were able to create an absolutely smooth surface to magnify the effect of the waves.
Now part of our Freeform collection, Echo Glass panels are used to create open-air privacy sound screens. These panels also define and partition rooms while enriching natural light, and creating a jewel-like feature in any space. Echo Glass is fully safety tempered, with a 5/8” pattern depth, and smooth monolithic polished edges.
Echo Glass is a collaboration with visionary designer Julie Babcock, of the award-winning Chipman Design Architecture, Des Plaines IL. For Sophie’s San Juan, Saks Fifth Avenue’s elegant restaurant in Puerto Rico, Julie wanted to create privacy and sound silos, while amplifying the abundant natural light during the day. The effect enhances the space’s romantic mood after sunset. We have a large selection of Thick Custom Glass Products and suggest you contact us today in order to discuss your glass needs further.
