Scenic Cruises, a worldwide luxury cruise line, has incorporated Nathan Allan’s Silvered Glass throughout their incredible Emerald Azzurra cruise ship. Our Channel Bronze Silvered Glass and our Cathedral Low Iron Silvered Glass, clad the beautiful bars throughout the ship. Additionally, concierge desks are wrapped with this shimmering glass, enhancing the luxurious aura throughout the ship.

THE GLASS
Throughout the remarkable Emerald Azzurra, Nathan Allan’s Silvered glass is used extensively. Produced in both Low Iron and Bronze colors, Nathan Allan also formed our architectural Cathedral and Channel patterns within both glass options. As the glass is installed against solid wood backing, our brilliant Silvered Finish is added to the back surface of each glass panel. The Silvered Finish reflects the light shining into the glass, and effectively enhances the textures and colors. Throughout the ship, wherever our Cathedral Low Iron Silvered glass and Channel Bronze Silvered glass is installed, there is a brilliant shimmering effect throughout the space.
SPECIFICATIONS
All of our Channel Bronze Silvered glass and Cathedral Low Iron Silvered glass, are produced in 10mm thick, tempered safety glass panels. As tempering increases the strength of the annealed glass by 4X, it causes our glass to safely withstand the force of the waves in the open ocean. Panels range in various sizes, up to 42” wide x 60” high (1067mm x 1524mm). Our reflective Silvered finish is expertly applied through a unique process, to simulate a mirrored backing.
INSTALLATION
Working with a talented technical installation crew on the Emerald Azzurra, dozens of brilliantly shimmering silvered panels are installed throughout the ship. Extra care and attention is given to these glass panels, using specific approved adhesives which are safe to use. The edges of our glass are wrapped in sold steel frames to protect the edges and greatly enhance the overall appearance of our glass.
