Pacific Sotheby’s Willow Architectural Glass Partition. Pacific Sotheby’s entrusted San Diego Office Design (SDOD) to craft a vision of what their new flagship national headquarters would look like. After months of planning the interior office spaces to function the way that Sotheby’s agents were accustomed to, SDOD designed custom furnishings that would accommodate the teaming environment necessary within the space.
Remaining true to their original vision of ‘colors of the seaside sunset’, SDOD incorporated a gorgeous sea blue decorative glass wall. Willow Gemstone Blue by Nathan Allan Glass Studios, reflects the afternoon sunshine with a lovely ocean colored hue as the sun sets in La Jolla. The finished Willow Gemstone Blue decorative glass wall is a spectacular statement produced by talented San Diego Office designers.

THE GLASS
Willow Gemstone Decorative Glass is unique in that 95% of the glass surface is virtually texture less. Produced using exclusive technologies developed by Nathan Allan allows pattern to be formed in sweeping, curvaceous, clear shaped 3D grooves. A first of its kind in our industry provides designers with unique choices. Adding our Gemstone Blue color finish produced the seaside feeling that the designers wanted to create in this stunning wall of colorful textured glass.
SPECIFICATIONS
Clear tempered safety glass, 3/8” (10mm) thick, with Willow kiln formed glass pattern, are used in this beautiful project. Each panel measured 5’0 x 5’0 (1500mm x 1500mm).
DESIGN
Working with Tamara Romeo of San Diego Office Design, our combined focus was to develop a watery blue decorative glass wall that reflected the seaside location of this prestigious office. The sweeping Willow texture is highlighted with our gorgeous Gemstone Blue color finish, which sparkles in the natural daytime light, and is accented at night time with enhanced interior lighting.
INSTALLATION
All panels are set on a strong, micro thin rail, to support the glass while staying invisible. Thin rails are also used at the top of each glass panel, to provide a secure installation.
